Ottawa at this time of year truly is beautiful. The colours are magical.  This sketch is of the bike path along the Ottawa River behind (and several hundred feet below) Parliament Hill.

37th International Sketch-Crawl

37th International Sketch-Crawl

One of my favourite buildings is Architect Douglas Cardinal's Museum of Civilization in Gatineau Quebec.  In the distance is Ottawa's Parliament Buildings across the river.

"People" by Sculptor Louise Archambault. These sculptures were first conceived in the 1960's and displayed at Expo '67 in Montreal.  They now have a permanent home at the Museum of Civilization in Gatineau Quebec, just across the river from Ottawa's Parliament Hill.

What better way to get back in the (art) saddle after a major move than participating in the 37th International Sketch Crawl! Couldn't ask for a nicer day.  Yesterday we had a few snow flakes and today was a bit cool, but it was beautiful and sunny.  This sketch is the view from our new condo looking over the Canadian War Museum.
