Urban Sketch

Sketched this on my iPhone, sitting at Starbucks before my banjo lesson.

The majestic Chateau Laurier towering over the locks joining the Rideau Canal to the Ottawa River.

Lebreton Flats 2

Lebreton Flats at the EB Eddy bridge to Gatineau has no shortage of scenes for the urban sketcher.  The remnant tell tale signs of Ottawa's former logging past are still visible.

Lebreton Flats

An amazing November day! Yang/Yin yoga class in the morning and a very rare afternoon on my own with time to sketch.  Nothing like a November day warm enough to head out on my bike, sketchbook in hand.

Irene's Pub 2

It's hard to discreetly sketch in a pub setting.  Everyone wants to know what you are up to!

Irene's Pub, Ottawa

I did this sketch at a "Sneezy Waters" concert at Irene's pub in Ottawa.  It was a great night of music!

Gun Salute at the War Museum

A page out of my sketchbook.  On the left is the gun salute for the swearing in of the new Canadian Chief of Staff.  On the right is a quick sketch of the dome at the "Marche Bonsecours" in Old Montreal.
